Aqua Fitness

40 minutes of dynamic intensity movement that compliments the joints and gets the heart rate pumping. Segments focus on conditioning for strength and endurance. This class will test your muscles and challenge your core. The last 20 minutes of class include Pilates and yoga movement that is adapted to water to bring awareness to the core and properly stretch and tone the body. Equipment used. Boards, Dumbbells and Noodles.

Aqua Blast

Have a blast in Aqua Blast; a charged-up water workout. After a gentle warm-up in the calm 86 – 88-degree water, you'll dive into the exercises using your own body weight and water resistance dumbbells. Easy on the joints, these 60 minutes of water fun will have you splashing your way to improved strength. You'll leave class feeling refreshed. Aqua Blast aims for a higher intensity workout focusing on cardio, core, upper and lower body. This is YOUR workout!! You can adjust the intensity to meet your needs!

Aqua Tai Chi

Tai Chi is effective for arthritis, fibromyalgia, and even cancer patients. Tai Chi helps improve health and well-being. The Tai Chi class done in water helps relieve pain, stiffness and improve mobility and greatly improves balance. Tai Chi is a gentle and relaxing. It is easy to learn. Step by step instructions will allow for participating individuals to set their own level and pace. Participants will learn how to relieve their own pain as they tune their own body and help with their own relaxing program through the power of Tai Chi.

Sensitive Points

The first 20 minutes of this class is a full cardio workout using the water, and water weights. Based off the Arthritis Foundation Exercise Aquatic leader Program this class then does gentle exercises working the participants’ whole body. It focuses on Range of Motion (ROM), posture and joint care from fingers to toes. Water walking and education on functional movement are always part of class.

Aqua Zumba

Aqua Zumba uses various Latin American/international rhythms and dances as well as other fun music types (hop-hop, rock, oldies & country). The dance moves are modified, and adapted to the aquatic environment and everyone can modify as needed. It is the “Zumba Pool Party Experience.” Aqua Zumba is a super fun way to work out, and uses each of the five fitness components. Muscle endurance, increasing muscle strength, greater energy, balance of body composition, including the training of cardiovascular and respiratory systems to push against the resistance of water. Large range of motion movements promote muscle flexibility and Joint mobility in water. You don’t have to know how to swim or how to dance. Enjoy the therapy of the warm water and “Move with Joy.”

Gentle Waterworks

This class is designed to improve health and well-being. It helps with stiffness and improves mobility and balance. This class is designed to be gentle and relaxing. It is easy to learn. Step by step instructions will allow for participating individuals to set their own level and pace. Participants will learn how to relieve their own pain as they tune into their own body which will help them with their own relaxing program.
